Tattoo aftercare

Congratulations on your new tattoo. Thanks for the trust in us. Hope you enjoyed your session and are thrilled with the new ink.

The big portion of your tattoo is already over, but the healing part is equally important. Your tattoo is like a superficial injury, and you must treat it with the same seriousness

Immediate care:
Leave the bandage /cling film on for 2 hours
Wash your hands thoroughly before touching the tattoo
Remove the bandage after 2 hours and wash your tattoo with cold water and mild antibacterial soap(Create a lather and wash gently. Don’t rub)
Let it air dry

First week
Keep your tattoo clean
Apply a thin layer of Fusidic Acid IP or recommended tattoo aftercare cream 3-4 times a day
Avoid sweating and sun exposure
Avoid soaking your fresh tattoo. In chlorine water- swimming pool, tub, etc. Showering is fine.
Keep your fresh tattoo away from the licks of pets and the touch of over-inquisitive people

Depending on your health status the healing process might take a week or more. You hydrate well, have immunity boosting food, and avoid anything that can trigger a known allergic reaction

After a week or so, the upper layer skin will scab off. This is part of your healing process. It might itch during this phase. Don’t scratch

Following weeks
The fresh skin over your tattoo that just healed might look shiny and unnatural.
Moisturize regularly to regain the natural texture of your skin
Stay out of direct sunlight to avoid sun damage
Wear loose clothing to prevent irritation

Long term care
Continue Moisturising your skin to keep the tattoo fresh.
Have you seen the black tattoos that turn greenish after a few years? That’s loss of color due to sun damage.
Sunscreen helps. Make good quality sunscreen a habit when going out with an exposed tattoo.

If you see any signs of infection like persistent redness, swelling or pus, consult a health care professional.

Following these steps will ensure your tattoo heals beautifully and stay glowing for years to come. Enjoy your Ink
